Two best friends Aryan and Kavi were excited to visit the park near their apartment in Gurgaon. 

The city was full of tall buildings and busy streets, so the local park was their favorite place to play and relax.

Today was extra special because it was a sunny day and they had heard that the big mango tree in the park was covered with ripe and juicy mangoes. With their water bottles in hand and bags filled with snacks, they started their little mango picking adventure.

Mango Tree Is Full of Fruits

As soon as they reached the park, Aryan and Kavi ran straight to the big mango tree. It was full of golden mangoes, and they looked delicious.

“These must be the best mangoes in the whole world!” Aryan said with excitement. Kavi smiled. “I will climb up and get them.” He loved climbing trees and was always up for a challenge.

Aryan was not as good at climbing, but he also thought, “Maybe I should try too.”

Climbing the Tree and Getting Stuck

Kavi started climbing. He gripped the branches with his hands and pushed up with his feet. Aryan waited below for Kavi to throw him a mango.

But after only a few minutes, Kavi stopped. “Aryan, the mangoes are too high! I can’t reach them!” he said.

Aryan tried to help. He jumped as high as he could to reach for the lowest mangoes, but they were still out of reach.  

“I don’t think we can get them,” Aryan said in disappointment. “Maybe we should just go home.”

Thinking of a New Idea

Kavi did not want to give up. He thought for a moment and then had an idea. “Wait! What if we use a stick? We can poke the mangoes and make them fall!”

Aryan responded. “That sounds like a great idea.”

They found a long stick nearby and took turns poking at the mangoes. But the stick was not strong enough to shake the branches, and the mangoes did not move.

Aryan said. “We are so close, but it is just not working.”

A Little Help from a Friend

Just then, Kavi had another idea. “Maybe we can ask the park keeper for help. He might have a ladder!”

Aryan agreed.

They ran over to the park keeper, who was watering plants. Kavi explained, “Sir, we really want some mangoes, but we can’t reach them. Do you have a ladder we can borrow?”

The park keeper smiled. “Of course!”

He brought them a strong ladder and also helped place it against the tree. Then, he climbed up and picked some mangoes for the boys.

Enjoying the Mangoes

Aryan and Kavi sat under the tree as they peeled and ate sweet, juicy mangoes. 

“You know,” Kavi said, “I could have tried climbing higher, but sometimes things are just too hard to do alone. It is okay to ask for help.”

Aryan agreed. “Yeah, and the ladder made it so easy! We could not have done it without help.”

Lesson Learned

As they walked home, Aryan and Kavi talked about what they had learned.

“When something is too hard, you don’t have to give up,” Aryan said. “Sometimes, you just need to think of a new way or ask for help,” Kavi responded. “And there is no shame in getting help. Friends, family, or even a kind stranger can make things easier.”

Ever since then, they knew that whenever they faced a challenge, they would keep trying, stay patient, and ask for help when needed. Because sometimes, a little help from a friend is all you need to reach your goal.

आर्यन और कवी दो सबसे अच्छे दोस्त थे। वे अपने गुरुग्राम के अपार्टमेंट के पास बने पार्क में जाने के लिए बहुत उत्साहित थे।

शहर ऊँची इमारतों और व्यस्त सड़कों से भरा हुआ था, इसलिए स्थानीय पार्क उनका पसंदीदा स्थान था, जहाँ वे खेलते और आराम करते थे।

आज का दिन और भी खास था क्योंकि धूप खिली हुई थी, और उन्होंने सुना था कि पार्क में मौजूद बड़ा आम का पेड़ मीठे और रसीले आमों से भरा हुआ था। अपने पानी की बोतलें और नाश्ते से भरे बैग लेकर वे अपने छोटे से आम तोड़ने के अभियान पर निकल पड़े।

आम से लदा पेड़

जैसे ही वे पार्क पहुँचे, आर्यन और कवि सीधा बड़े आम के पेड़ की ओर दौड़ पड़े। पेड़ सुनहरे आमों से लदा हुआ था, जो बहुत स्वादिष्ट लग रहे थे।

“ये तो दुनिया के सबसे अच्छे आम होंगे!” आर्यन ने उत्साहित होकर कहा।

कवी मुस्कुराया, “मैं पेड़ पर चढ़कर इन्हें तोड़ सकता हूँ।” उसे पेड़ पर चढ़ना बहुत पसंद था, और वह हमेशा नई चुनौतियाँ लेने के लिए तैयार रहता था।

आर्यन को पेड़ पर चढ़ने में उतनी अच्छी महारत नहीं थी, लेकिन उसने भी सोचा, “शायद मुझे भी कोशिश करनी चाहिए।”

पेड़ पर चढ़ना और फँस जाना

कवी चढ़ने लगा। उसने मजबूत पकड़ बनाई और अपने पैरों से ऊपर चढ़ने की कोशिश की। आर्यन नीचे खड़ा होकर इंतजार कर रहा था कि कवी उसे कोई आम नीचे गिराएगा।

लेकिन कुछ ही मिनटों में कवी रुक गया। “आर्यन, आम बहुत ऊपर हैं! मैं उन तक नहीं पहुँच पा रहा हूँ!” उसने कहा।

आर्यन ने मदद करने की कोशिश की। वह जितना ऊँचा कूद सकता था, कूदा, लेकिन आम उसकी पहुँच से बाहर थे।

“मुझे नहीं लगता कि हम इन्हें तोड़ पाएँगे,” आर्यन ने निराशा से कहा। “शायद हमें वापस घर चले जाना चाहिए।”

नई तरकीब सोचना

कवी इतनी जल्दी हार मानने वाला नहीं था। उसने कुछ सोचा और फिर एक तरकीब सूझी।

“रुको! अगर हम कोई छड़ी का उपयोग करें और आमों को गिराने की कोशिश करें, तो शायद हम सफल हो जाएँ!”

आर्यन ने जवाब दिया, “यह बहुत अच्छी तरकीब है!”

उन्होंने पास में एक लंबी टहनी ढूँढी और बारी-बारी से आमों को गिराने की कोशिश करने लगे। लेकिन लकड़ी इतनी मजबूत नहीं थी कि शाखाओं को हिला सके, और आम अपनी जगह से हिले तक नहीं।

“हम बहुत करीब हैं, लेकिन फिर भी यह तरीका काम नहीं कर रहा,” आर्यन ने कहा।

एक दोस्त की मदद

उसी समय, कवी के दिमाग में एक और तरकीब आई।

“शायद हम पार्क के माली से मदद माँग सकते हैं। उनके पास सीढ़ी हो सकती है!”

आर्यन ने उसकी बात मान ली।

वे दोनों दौड़ते हुए माली के पास गए, जो पौधों को पानी दे रहे थे। कवी ने समझाया, “साहब, हमें आम चाहिए, लेकिन हम उन तक नहीं पहुँच पा रहे हैं। क्या आपके पास कोई सीढ़ी है जिसे हम इस्तेमाल कर सकें?”

माली मुस्कुराए। “बिलकुल!”

उन्होंने एक मजबूत सीढ़ी लाकर पेड़ के सहारे टिकाई। फिर, उन्होंने खुद ऊपर चढ़कर कुछ आम तोड़कर लड़कों को दे दिए।

स्वादिष्ट आमों का आनंद

आर्यन और कवी पेड़ के नीचे बैठकर मीठे, रसीले आम छीलकर खाने लगे।

“तुम जानते हो,” कवी ने कहा, “मैं और ऊँचा चढ़ने की कोशिश कर सकता था, लेकिन कभी-कभी कुछ चीजें अकेले करना बहुत मुश्किल होता है। ऐसे में मदद माँगने में कोई बुराई नहीं है।”

आर्यन ने सहमति में सिर हिलाया। “हाँ, और सीढ़ी ने काम बहुत आसान कर दिया! अगर हमें मदद नहीं मिलती, तो हम आम नहीं तोड़ पाते।”

सीख मिली

जब वे घर लौट रहे थे, तो आर्यन और कवी अपनी सीख के बारे में चर्चा कर रहे थे।

“अगर कोई चीज़ मुश्किल लगे, तो हार मत मानो,” आर्यन ने कहा।

“कभी-कभी हमें बस कोई नया तरीका सोचना होता है या किसी से मदद माँगनी होती है,” कवी ने जवाब दिया।

“और मदद माँगने में कोई शर्म की बात नहीं है। दोस्त, परिवार, या कोई दयालु व्यक्ति हमेशा मुश्किल कामों को आसान बना सकता है।”

उस दिन के बाद, उन्होंने तय किया कि जब भी वे किसी चुनौती का सामना करेंगे, तो वे कोशिश करना जारी रखेंगे, धैर्य बनाए रखेंगे, और जब ज़रूरत होगी, तब मदद माँगेंगे।

क्योंकि कभी-कभी, मंज़िल तक पहुँचने के लिए बस एक दोस्त की थोड़ी सी मदद ही काफ़ी होती है!
